Some of us didn't panic, not in a way that required us to do anything, that is.

Which is the point: pointless activity that gets you nowhere is a waste of effort; panicking should be reserved for armchairs and sofa and other places where it can do no harm. (Like LPITTW, in fact.)


I filled my tank a couple of days earlier than I would have had to, meaning that I avoided both the queues and the threat of being without fuel. (And I probably got the petrol cheaper, given that some filling stations have been concentrating on filling their own wallets.)
