Simply had too much on my plate to stop out here. Business is up for unexplained reasons about 30-40% and that has chewed up time, the NCAA basketball championships have been underway along with the NIT and I am addicted to college basketball so that has eaten up time and to top it off I decided to reread the entire David Weber Honor Harrington series before I read the latest book to come out and I got so involved with that, that if I was not working or watching basketball (even missed a few games when the books held me to tightly to look away) I was reading. I realized if I dropped in here and visited some of the other threads I would simply not have enough reading time (did not feel like enough anyway) so I made the painful decision to take a break from the thread.

Now of course an astonishing back log of recorded TV shows has developed so I am working my way through them which is probably the best way to watch them, I can fast forward through the commercials and when you have 4 or 6 or even 8 episodes in a row it can be quite entertaining.

Could not resist poking my nose back in here again though as it remains a bright spot in what is obviously an otherwise dull and deplorable existence

I've been doing that a lot with DVDs and on-line viewing, where I've been able to catch up with a lot of shows I either never saw or saw before and enjoyed. It's actually the best way, I think, to pick up on the presaging and mini-arcs that often trudge along beneath the conscious radar.

Now this is why I like Netflix, and use nothing else at all - no network TV, cable, or satellite.

Thank you Michael, I do not believe we have met before. I took a little time to check a few back pages of this thread since it has been awhile since I stopped in (a month here, a month there, before you know it.....) Going to take a stab at a more permanent basis, I missed you, Springs and Inter, I know, there is simply no accounting for my tastes.
