Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

It's not actually that bad... you will probably get a laugh out of it now.

I was so tempted to post it before you went to the dentist though, but thought that would be way too mean. Had an even worse link lined up for it as well

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

Your tactics may go along way in this thread, nor perhaps you could consider the bear....

My kids love little shop, and I grow red cabbages in my allotment each year, and the kids call them the Audreys. And it's feeling quite spring like today... I think it's seedling time soon. Yay!

People are using low tactics, are they?

Were the sheep not enough? Do we now have to have cows?

No; I can't even remember which section they're in. I'm hoping if I don't think about it I will suddenly remember - there's a lot of words to go through.

Anyway, i shan't be cowed by the task

@wp, yep, it translated...

@wp, the translation worked just fine this side of the pond also

Springs, are you missing some semicolons? How in the world did you misplace them, I always use the bottom half like a hook and hang them somewhere convenient for when I need them.

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

Timba; i have a garage full of 'em. I'm trying to find one passage of about 10 words in the middle of one of the GRRM books - the first, i think... It's proving a little difficult...

Tell you what, why don't you go and have a read through them all, from the start, in the comfort of your lounge, and let me know when you find the sentence that has a double semi colon.

I'll look after things here, keep the rest in order.

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

It certainly better than hanging participles, Timba. Very messy.

(And I hope no-one is going to mention dangling modifiers.) Oops!

Oh, so the semicolons aren't in AFfC, Springs? I thought you might have been reading that book and seen the semicolons in the past couple of days. If they're in AGoT, you've little chance of being able to place them easily.

I concur, needle in a haystack.

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

I'm pretty sure it was AGoT. I have a photographic sort of memory, so I can see the layout of the text it was in, know where on the page it was, but can't remember the scene. GRRR. Really annoying.

They're not my cows, WP. (I haven't even... er... heard about them until today.)

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

@ ursa; I refer you, bear, to post no. 9184, it being the first mention of cows in this thread, and suggest you take responsibility for your actions and remove them to a farm. In the scottish highlands. In a very slow tractor.

case dismissed.
