I'm in more of a beach (Prunus maritima) mood.

We have south facing beaches here. (And one can watch the beach from the comfort of a café or restaurant.)

South facing, you say. Sounds nice. We have freezing, cold, north atlantic beaches here (and that's in July) we don't describe what they're like in Winter.

(even the cafes' wear hats...)

Suffice to say, it's nippy.

Your tourist board won't like the word, nippy.

"Bracing!" is what they'll be wanting you to say. (Okay, they'd probably prefer "Warm and sunny!")

It is warm and sunny. You just have to get the right day
And under trades description, we might just get away with it.

There are certain people who even faced with sunny (and your version of warm), would want their money back.

(Assuming they'd paid in the first place.)

Looks a bit wooden to me.

Woke to a spot of snow this morning, looks nice but it is starting to melt already, very, very weird winter.

Wooden inscrutability, sounds difficult to fashion.

We've had no snow this winter, pretty unusual, but it's all come in from your side of the pond to us, so lots of rain. it's when it comes from the arctic we get it....

My heating bill is almost a pleasure to look at this year so I am not complaining.
