Um, that can be read in many worrying ways.

Anyways I lit lots of candles tonight; cheaper than oil and it's to get mild tomorrow; my oil system is at the back of our very spidery garage and I won't go anywhere near it, so short term fluctuations = big woolly jumper.

Well, you gave us the first bit. What's next? (I'm still convinced you've been out of the thread and are possibly now an interloper.)

Oops; that's the other one. Ooops. Or maybe you both are, in which case with Timba vanished; I win!

Oh goody. Can I close the thread now?

Health 'n' safety, I'm afraid. Then there's the Mary Whitehouse contingent who complain about the use of naked flames.

As far as closing the thread is concerned - well, if you have to ask, I guess the answer must be

.......THREAD CLOSED

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

Should it have said "Thread Back In Five Minutes"? Cos when I see that on shop doors, they seem to stay closed an awfully long time.

I got my size sevens back

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

A fleece? Do American law enforcement agencies recommend those, now? It might, then, be worn by some Fed or a nother.

Suddenly reminded of the line in Hitchcock's 39 Steps, after Hannay calls the policeman a sheep and when encountering a flock of sheep, "Oh, look. A flock of policemen."
