Well I would be partial to Nicolas Cage but there are those who would claim I was guilty of aggrandizing myself. I say, if not me....Who?

OOh, no, not Nic Cage, look at the a** he made of Correlli and if you can't nail him, then what does that say as an actor? Ian McKellen

I never saw Cage do Corelli and I guess off that review I wont but I enjoyed him in all the National Treasure movies and Wild at Heart and a host of other films. Good grief he has made a mountain of movies, bound to be a few stinkers in there but I like him.

Having said that I could live with Ian McKellen

And so the rumours start.

So there was an annulment, was there, of the riigged election results? Good thing too. If anything's going to be stuffed at Christmas, the last thing it should be is a ballot box. (It's entirely the wrong sort of carve up.)

Well, the Vimto does contain some grape juice, so it may do the job.

Merry Christmas Eve, Springs.

Those Christmas goodies won't... er... sprout on their own, you know.

Don't I just know it; weary allotment holder.

I didn't grow sprouts this year, actually, but I did technically have potatoes, but it's been so muddy we haven't dug them up. Very naughty. Still on the table will be our own red cabbage from the summer, our own leeks, too. I like to have something from the lottie there. Oh and our redcurrants will be a bit of a posh garnish on the pud.

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

I don't think that I've ever eaten redcurrant, even as a jelly (to garnish lamb). Wiki describes the taste as mixing tartness and sweetness. It sounds very nice.

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

They are; I use the jelly all the time for cooking etc. and they look really swish!

Now sprouts? what on earth do i do to make them better; the kids are refusing en masse to eat them, oh the joy of Xmas traditions!
