| Wherever I Am, I'm There | T4: Terminator Salvation (2009) Not sure how I feel about three more Terminator films, but I could already see it coming after the final part of T3, and seeing some of the Skynet/Man War might be interesting. Anyhow, this is from The Register: Sci/Tech News for the World: Quote:
I can't see how they can find anything original to say in these films, though it hasn't stopped the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series. What McG means by "the landscape plays a critical role" is anyone's guess, but it doesn't sound promising. | |

| Re: Terminator Salvation set for May 2009 release I was a little disappointed by T3. Though I admit I have always wanted to see the full scale war between humanity and the machines. I am encouraged by the presence of Christian Bale, though my judgement is clouded by a desire to want it to be good. |

| Living in Paradise | Re: Terminator Salvation set for May 2009 release Mixed feelings about this one.................. I agreee with A.v.S that Christian Bale has expressed an interested in being part of it. I think he is a fine actor and breathed life back into Batman after George Clooney almost killed him off......... However I loved the first movie, thought the second was still pretty good but I have seen the third one only twice, and although it was good I don't put it in the same class as the first two. The series was alright but as I expected, I have lost interest in it, as it is pretty much same old smae stuff each week. Lets pick who is the terminator and throw each other around walls for an episode. Having said that, I would probably go and see it, but more for the Christain Bale factor than anything. |

| Re: Terminator Salvation set for May 2009 release TBH most people aren't looking for something new anymore anyway. It's a cold, well-known fact that originality is dead and even if it wasn't; the vast, vast majority of the fans that are actually concerned with the continuation of these sagas have been so wrapped up in the stories for so long that it barely matters what fresh blood gets brought to the fore, so long as the show goes on.. I'm definitely one of them! |

| Re: Terminator Salvation set for May 2009 release Not too optimistic about these but I think if there's any chance of a decent film or three then at least they've gone the right route and dropped the time traveling and set it in the future, the technologies certainly there now to do these right we just have to hope the writing/directing will be too. I can't see them making anything as good as T1&2 but its amazing how hard it seems to be to make an even half decent action movie, you would of thought Alien v Predator had enough to at least be watchable instead imo it was just a mess. I really didn't like T3 and I don't think there's anyway they could have done another movie running over the same gound. What's the bet that T6 ends with John Connor sending Kyle Reese back to 1984 giving it a Star Wars style wrap up. |

| Registered User | Terminator: Salvation – why no Nick Stahl? I know Edward Furlong was too *ahem* out of it to reprise his role in T3, but why no Nick Stahl? I thought he portrayed John Connor pretty well in T3 (plus looked quite like Reece which was a bonus). I know Christian Bale’s well in fashion at the moment what with Batman, but I thought Nick should get first refusal, or didn’t he want to? Does anyone know? |

| Re: Terminator: Salvation – why no Nick Stahl? He might wanted to but they needed a big star unlike T3 with Stahl who is a good tv actor but not a big hollywood star. Bale isnt hot only, he is much better actor when he isnt limited by Nolan in Batman. |

| Re: Terminator: Salvation – why no Nick Stahl? I reckon Bale is a much better actor and in the previous movies before the 3rd, they show scenes of John Connor with black hair and a bit of a beefy looking guy. |
