| Re: Did you cry? (be honest) I've always been a big weeper at the movies, but I was so keyed up for so long before seeing the LOTR movies that I just didn't have it in me by the time I actually saw them. There were, certainly, many highly emotional lump-in-the-throat moments, and every time I listen to the soundtrack CDs, which is often, it all comes back.
I love every soppy sentimental moment of the last part of ROTK from Frodo waking in the Houses of Healing right on to Sam closing the door at the very end. What can I say, I am totally a sucker for that sort of thing.
Also, the whole innocence and pastoral beauty of the Shire thing plucks at my heart strings like I was a musical instrument.
And Smeagol and Deagol peacefully and happily fishing in their little green paradise, that is a definitely a lump-in-the-throat moment, knowing what is to come immediately afterward! |
