Between the sexes: Women take one off and change the sign, and guys add one the change the sign.

So if we take +58:

Hoopy would take one off (+57) then change the sign - (-57).
Then I'd add one (-56) and change the sign... +56... which seems to work in the favour of the ladies.

RECAP:

Boy's dont need to put the minus (-), girls are counting to minus 1000, boys are couning to Positive 1000.

I.E:
Boy posts 5.
So girl posts -4
Another girl -5
another girl -6
boy comes along and brings it back down to +5
Then another boy comes and posts 6
make sense?

So, yes, woman take a number off and change the sign.
Men add one and change the sign.
