Questions on pictures

I don't know if the forum allows it, but recently i got a little bit bored as I was typing my story (its posted on the critiques section with the initials A.S.H: on it) and decided to do something new - or stupid.I placed scenes and images on my post,

does the forum allows this? if not, then why?

I don't think there is a problem posting pictures to go along with text. I t hink it'd be a good idea to either own the pictures though, or at least have permission to use them if they come from other sources. I'm not real clear on the 'rules' concerning picture copyright, but I imagine there are some individuals that would get annoyed at folks copying thier pics into unrelated works..

Personally, I don't think it's big deal, and the pictures are pretty - I went and looked just now - but like I said, I'm not sure what the actual 'rules' are, so hopefully a moderator will see and reply toot-sweet.

If the pictures aren't your own, it's a good idea to cite your source and avoid copyright violation.

If they're yours, you can do what you like.

To be honest, if it's just here on a little backwater forum then I doubt it's going to cause a problem. If you were publishing said story it might be an issue. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much. If you're not quite so laid back (read useless) as me then you might want to just put a little footnote on your piece saying where the pictures all came from.

In the very worst case the owners are just going to ask you to take them down anyway. It's not a huge deal.
