Youtube equivalent for stories?

Hi folks,

Is there an equivalent of youtube for short stories? I'm looking for a place where I and some colleagues can self-publish stuff online to a wide audience.

Quite a lot of people post writing on Deviant Art. It's not as popular as the images, sure, but its there. Give it a look.

DeviantArt has stories in among the visual artwork.

A fiction showcase: http://www.short-fiction.co.uk/

Here's a lot of fan fiction http://www.fanfiction.net/

This site is pretty amazing, and a huge source of online fiction, though it's intended as a place for writers to "get discovered" by Harper Collins.

Interesting.
They seem to have swiped the playbook from authonomy a bit (including the term "back") but without the alleged prize of coming to real editorial attention.

However, they seem to have their own routes to publication and sales.

Great idea of creating project books by several authors. Sort of a "Ritalin Soup for the Soul" approach.

Cool site.

I'm impressed by this.

Is this a new form of literature?

Sure hope so, because it fits in very well with what we are trying to do.
