![]() Not getting why 'Cricket st. Thomas' is on that list though. How is that weird?! I drive through Cricket every day on my way to work up over Windwhistle (and really, if Cricket's on there, why isn't Windy?). They've built these new posh wooden houses for the city types to come and stay in and on their website they're on about how secluded it is - failing to mention that the road over Windy is right on the other side! They've called the houses 'Swandown.' Which I don't get. Sheepdown would be more accurate. Best thing is though, on their website they've called it 'Sawndown.' I feel like such a saddo that that amuses me. ![]() Oh and welcome, Ada! | |

| Re: 1000 Post Club The best thing - apart from the perfect appropriateness of the word, Sawndown, on a site selling wooden buildings - is that the word is only now-and-then visible. While the official site is being built, the current one consists of a series of images with captions. The word, Sawndown, only occurs on one of these (as far as I can tell), and not on the first, so it'll likely remain there for some time. |

| Re: 1000 Post Club Non-alcoholic (eeew) of course. I have always wondered: what is the point of non-alcoholic beer? It looks and smells like beer, but tastes like soda pop with the sugar removed, and some lame attempt at inserting beer flavour. Terrible stuff, and with none of the wonderful health benefits of a proper pint. |
