I'll get some wood *bounds out to the cave and returns a few minuts later dragging a plank in - drops it on the floor then bounds out for more* |

Slowly, the entire sofa lifts on hydraulic arms, leaving only the base on the floor. This opens into two, the two halves sliding down into the floor, revealing a lift shaft. A closed lift gradually rises into view and shudders to a halt. The front doors ping open, revealing a space stacked high with various lengths and sizes of wood. In the space at the front of the lift is a tiny trolley* |

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Asylum Actually, you've got a point there - I took out the robotic arms a while back. They've been stored, though, and the mechanisms are more or less complete - just need plugging back in, and with a bit of fine tuning she can hammer with the best of them! ![]() Now, what type of wood do you want? Planks, sheets, pieces warped into amusing shapes? |

| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: The Asylum what kind? *pauses in confusion* well wood of course! wood wood - not much else to say really! oh wait you mean the tree kind it came from! -- oh er - Oak I think is good and solid - and the old woods were always very dark in colour - or with paint and polish. Can you get polished oak planks? |

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Asylum I was thinking more two by fours, really long things, square things, or sheets. Thin, thick, flexible, sturdy, dragon-proof, but oak is good. I'll see what I've got.*after a moments careful consideration, in which he stared with horror at the assortment of planks, Lenny dons a thick, plastic bag suit, and clambers onto the pile* Oak... oak... oh for Powers' sake! It's right at the back!! |

| Re: The Asylum Yeah, can't go wrong with oak, a bit heavy but it wears better than beech. Mind you, I've got some coating that'd make ash just about impervious. How about oak for the lower deck and ash for the uppers to save weight ? |

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Asylum *a voice booms out from the pile, its bassy qualities indicate that it comes from a hole somewhere* Ash is probably near the front - it seems to be alphabetised up until the mid-point, then backwards alphabetised. Must've been stacked from two sides... fantastic when it comes out into a three wall environment. Humph. And you know the best thing? The idiots have left great holes between wood types. |
