Re: The Asylum

*Prods the wolf back* Well, I can't seem to convince you so I'll let youmake up your own mind.

And if I drink tea at this time, I won't sleep. Although I'm certainly tired enough..

Re: The Asylum

Thanks, Ace. Much appreciated. And busy as usual, but one of my plans for the new year is to spend more time here actually participating rather than ghosting about... and even at that, having been here less often than I like.

Mmmm... I hear you there. Though we shouldn't complain here, as from about April through October we may see darned little rain or none at all....

*slinks over and pokes Hoopy with a paw* you sure you're feeling ok and that you are, indeed, Hoopy? Refusing tea - and Orange Cheesecake has not appeard for months - next you will be guzzling down coffee!
I'm with the wolf. Perhaps we'd better call in someone to do an examination. Want to make sure this isn't one of the imitation Hoopsters wandering around... let alone one of those dreadful pod-people one meets so often in the "real world"....

Re: The Asylum

My pocket feels lighter - at least it would do if I had a pocket...

ahem and well I can't find any mental fault - save for having knees too clean. Maybe its a deeper problem?

Re: The Asylum

I'm going to bang your heads together, you two, if you don't stop such silliness.

There's nowt wrong, or different, or weird (within reason) with/about me.

As me, I should know.

But that's just it!
You're too close to you to notice a difference - your view is clouded!

Re: The Asylum

Fine! All right! Do your little *waves fingers* tests or whatever.

But let me put some money down first, because when it's proven that I've been me all along, I can get some nice winnings back.

Re: The Asylum

Hmmm. We'd need to call in a trusted expert first. Maybe Kevin McCarthy?

At any rate, something's not right... where's the fire, the pizzazz, the mischievousness, the sheer skullduggery and spunk ("I hate spunk") of the Hoops of old?

Perhaps a pot of coffee might help?

Re: The Asylum

Agreed! I take payments in leg or arm bones. Skulls only if they are highly decorative and rare.

and I agree to that idea as well- a perfect first test is coffee!

Re: The Asylum

Well, if it isn't Hoopy, how d'you explain Freda ? If she'd smelled funny, our eight-legged friend would've seen it a mile off. Tangle seems happy too.

Re: The Asylum

Ah, well, the solution to this mystery will either have to wait, or (more likely) proceed without me as, despite my spending more time here, I still needs must leave at times... such as now....

Laters, people....

*and keep a sharp eye on this "HoopyFrood" person; I'm far from convinced that this is the real McCoy.....*

Re: The Asylum

Hoops of old is exactly it...I am weary, bedraggled, worn out, no fire, no pizazz, no other word that means similar.

Re: The Asylum

Catch you later JD!

and Ace if Hoopy has changed inside then outside Hoopy would still smell the same - save for being overall a little cleaner in smell.

Hmmm. That does concern me. But those thoughts will have to wait for another time, I fear....

Later, OR! Thanks again for the tea, Ace....
