Are you sure? Perhaps the information it was being offered just never reached her consciousness. I've the feeling she has to filter out ninety percent of incoming information as unacceptable; after all, there can't be more than ten percent of what goes on here that is classifiable as 'normal'.

Re: The Asylum

"I offered and got no reply. What's that, Freda ?"

Freda makes a few gestures.

"You've picked up a scent somewhere, Karn. She doesn't know what it is but it smells delicious."

Re: The Asylum

*sighs and draws his sword* If you wish to keep what little hair you have left, H-girl, you'd best forget the nickname you and the crazed emu had given me.

A scent? Must've been from EE.....

Re: The Asylum

The thing about nicknames, though, is they tend to stick rather well.

A non-answer from me isn't a refusal, I was just lured away by other things.

Re: The Asylum

Do you think it may be anything to do with the return of Paige Turner?

Soon after I joined, I trawled through a lot of threads, reading posts by members who had - I later discovered - become inactive, such as Knivesout, Leto and Paige Turner. It's good to see that at least one of them has returned.

* Wonders if these folks' distinctive avatars have anything to do with my remembering them. *

Re: The Asylum

Perhaps so.

Certainly a [most recognisable] face from the past.

Re: The Asylum

"Evening. What's your poison ?"

Freda scuttles over to Hedge.

"Don't worry, it's her way of saying, 'Hello.' Some people find it helpful to imagine her as a big, friendly dog with too many legs."

Re: The Asylum

Until she wraps you in tough, sticky spider silk webbing and hangs you from the rafters.

*Glares at Freda* Ace, would you please ask her to stop staring at me like that? It's making me nervous.....

Re: The Asylum

She's a very large spider, (the size of an alsatian) highly intelligent, fiercely loyal, fond of her cat and passionate about pringles.

Karn was referring to her habit of cocooning people who fall asleep in here, she thinks it's funny. There's no real harm in her, though and she's made a lot of friends here
