well I suppose a kelpie and a nixie are both water creatures so a water element makes sense

And no. I just really rather like this picture of Cthulhu. I love the splash of waves and his dramatic posture.

It is a rather good shot. Also, I usually see pictures of Cthulhu standing upright, which makes this one a little different, too...

Life is decent. Am making breakfast for the Grimlets (sorry for the delay...had to check on culinary details). Awesome weather on tap, no athletic responsibilities on account of Mother's Day...couldn't ask for too much more.....and you?

Yeah, the weather's pretty nice here, too. Well, it looks it anyway. I'm at my desk, writing my dissertation dohickey. I have my despairing moments when I wonder what the hell I'm writing and that I'm running out of time, but today seems to be a good day, as I'm feeling at peace with it for the moment.

That's a good place to be in, writing-wise where assignments are concerned (at least from my experience, it's the spot where the framework that I've outlined previously starts to obtain some continuity). How much more do you expect to do, or are you still in the middle of the tunnel, so to speak?
