| Re: The Asylum And nay is wise my lord...no princess of elemental descent is worth the sudden sacrifice of one man on the altar of this most reprehensible, merciless, maddening mistress: marriage. I shudder at the thought of it. Wise is he who sways not on its malignant charms. |

| Re: The Asylum Wait a minute, Karn, let's see if I've got this straight. The princess wants you. The elemental council advises the monarch but is largely autonomous, as part of its duty is to block certain decrees, as well as deal with the realm's day-to-day running. Neither monarch nor consort may sit on the council. Am I straight so far ? |

| At the end of reality | Re: The Asylum Well, Cyber, I am a storm elemental, and elementals of her types are all of the commoners, except for her and her father.... And I know what you're suggesting, Ace. I do NOT want to sit on the council. They wouldn't let me anyway. The council members all vote for new members, and every one of them knows I did not support their overthrow. |

| Re: The Asylum It is way too late at night for my mind to accept the challenge of reading the past 200 or so pages of this, so that I may understand the courts of this Asylum. *finishes his banana split...starts chewing on the tip of the spoon* |

| Re: The Asylum Actually, they can't. Recent events changed things a little. There're a couple of vacancies, and the storm faction have no representation at all, remember. Your lineage gives you the right, actually the duty, to represent your faction until relations can be formalised and keep the council constitutional. If you exercise that right, a few nods and handshakes could make you enough of a council member to back her off and give the loyalists a bit of leeway. It'll be tough, but the one thing the realm needs is stability, and the council knows that without the crown, they can only rule by force. |

| At the end of reality | Re: The Asylum Read all you want, but the Asylum is the Asylum. Anything goes, so long as it doesn't involve C-4, teflon, a sousaphone, or earth elemental seedlings. ![]() Force is how they wish to rule, Ace.... *sigh* I don't think she'll like that idea, but it's better than any other I've come up with. |

| Re: The Asylum *stays in a corner and plays the theremin* This would be so much easier if I knew what I was doing... Eh, let the explosion of the world come. *waits for anyone to get the cartoon reference* |

| At the end of reality | Re: The Asylum Ask Ace or Hoopy about the C-4 incident, or read back a ways. The teflon was probably the funnest thing to do, though.... Covered the entire surface of this room with it. And watched the others as a nice little patch of mist, hehe. |

| Re: The Asylum Sorry, don't recognise the character. I know what you mean, Karn, it's tempting to let them destroy themselves. The problem is that if the realm collapses in chaos, we're all up the creek. Maybe I'd better work on this a little more. |

![]() You do realise that I could be the next pixie queen when my grandfather abdicates/dies. I'm one of the five choosen. So unless I hide/run away faster than anyone else I could be crowned. Not that kind of crowned Juken, rubs head | |
