Freda makes a complex series of gestures.

"It's crazy enough to work, Freda. Hi No-one.

Hoopy, Freda just suggested that we give you a colour infusion, any thoughts ?"

Still bored beige huh?

Well, I don't think there's anything anyone can do for you. You'll just have to wait it out, while we hope it's not contagious.

And besides, correct me if I'm wrong here, but hasn't Harpo been lying on that couch for a VERY long time?

oh well, I guess we may as well all be bored together...

"He has, yes. The trouble is that you can never be certain with Harpo."

Takes a bottle from a cupboard, drops a pill from it into a glass and adds water.

The mixture starts to fizz, producing a rainbow of swirling colours within the drink as a delicious, fruity smell begins to waft from the glass, perking everyone up.

"I'll put this on the bedside table, Hoopy, then it's up to you."

*Looks dully at the glass*

*Shrugs* Can't say...I particularly care...either way...

Meh, I say we leave her be, Ace.

Maybe she'll keep changing colour. Could be fun to watch. We can all place bets! I'll go for sickly yellow next.

Someone ought to do something about Harpo though. He seems in a bad way.

Freda's keeping him warm and dosing him with tea and pringles. It's the best we can do until he snaps out of it.

*Shifts slightly on the sofa*

The slipper. The common slipper. Only for indoor use, or should people be able to wear them outside? An argument that divides. People own up to wearing them for certain tasks that might lead them outside -- getting the mail, walking the dog. But apart from that, slippers are an interesting object. They can be split into three types -- the slip on slippers, with open heel for easy access. The boot slipper; the name gives the clue as to the shape of these. And the novelty slipper, of course. Different colours, shapes, sizes, one of which is the famous rabbit-shaped slipper.

The longest anyone has worn slippers is for twenty-three years straight.

Fascinating.

*Drapes over the cushions and sighs*

Something else that is just as fascinating is wallpaper. Gained popularity in the Renaissance, for those who couldn't afford tapestries. Or what about wallpaper paste? That adhesive that is usually starch or methylcellulose based. Do you know what a brilliant pastime is? Watching paint dry on walls. Especially when you get a good one that doesn't dry evenly. The different patches. One hardly knows where to look.

There should be some organisation in here. *Goes into the kitchen and opens the drawer of tea towels* These shouldn't be like this. We should organise them in size first, then by colour. Or perhaps by pattern. *Begins folding* We shall have to do this with everything. Do you have a sock drawer? They are always in particular need of organising. Put into pairs, then sorted by colour, size...perhaps even styles. One shouldn't wear patterned socks for a serious ocassion. A plain dark grey or navy is much more suitable.
