| Re: The Asylum yeesh - tough cookie. Fine. *runs again to the back room, emerging with a large antenna of sorts. He opens the skylight with use of a hooked pole and attaches the electrodes likewise to the antenna and Hoopy* Yep, just as I thought. It's stormy out. Wait for it... Wait for it... *a flash of lightning strikes the antenna, surging downward into Hoopy* Well, if nothing else this place'll need a new sofa... |

| High Druid | Re: The Asylum *Staggers wearily into Asylum* Mmmmm..... what's gone on here then? Smells like somebody had a BBQ without me, oh well all that charred food is no good for me anyway! *suddenly notice Hoopy, comatose on the burnt sofa* Dear GOD this will not do! *pushes Hoopy off of the sofa and conjures up a new expandable sofa, it will now stretch to however many people want to sit on it, it's fire proof and it provides yummy snacks which come out of the arms* Ooooohhhh.... chips and dip!!! Now to sort you Hoopy! *a few muttered words and an onxygen tent appears around a plush four poster bed* There you are my dear now rest up, there are some books for you to read when you come round, they should entertain you for a short while. And i'll leave you dexter, he's my Troll Butler, he'll assist with anything you need for the next couple of days! Anyone else about this morning? |

| resident pedantissimo | Re: The Asylum Devil? I'm not contradicting the 'old', mind you, but as fiends go I doubt if I even merit the status of 'demon'. Um, yes, still alive, despite the predictions of the medical profession, and not enough work to keep me out of mischief, or the Chrons. And yourself? I'd noticed you were back among us, but had as yet had nothing to say in any thread you were inhabiting. |

| High Druid | Re: The Asylum That's good to hear and yes I am back with you. I'm good and thanks for asking, i have two children now and my wife still wouldn't let me call one of them Roland (Dark Tower reference). But I do intend to stay this time and I'm also trying to post more in the serious areas, I started with a piece in the comp this month however i think it bombed! And i've started my blog to help alongside starting to write again. |

| resident pedantissimo | Re: The Asylum Roland is a perfectly good name; I know several people who sport it (admittedly French speakers; he was one of their national heroes, after all). Not that I think that justifies Mark Bolan (T-rex) from so calling his son, but that's another fishel of ket. Ah, yes, the challenge. Verbose as I am it is manifestly impossible for me to create something in seventy-five words, and yet stubbornly every month I try, and even have a list of potential subjects for when the collective subchronscious goes completely off the rails and votes for me… So, how old are non Childe Roland of the towering dark and sibling (a hardened misogynist I still get on well with most kids, even if their mothers will no longer let me babysit them – which, seeing I babysat several of the mothers in question suggests that my reading and, um, adapting bet time stories appeals more to children than parents – and was in Yorkshire last week to meet my newest grandnephew) and what distinguishing features? |
