No, I'm not going to use that cloak. Not unless I absolutely have to, and such a situation should never have to happen. I simply want it locked away so no chaotic creatures get a hold of it.

That's just the point, though. There might sometime be a need where this hypnotism cloak NEEDS to be found, and if such a time arises, I now know exactly where it is, and only I can reach it.

Besides that, it was an old item of mine that had somehow gotten lost at your tower.....

Hi Hoopy, Karn seems to be trying to usurp Freda's raison d'etre. Otherwise things seem to be fine.

As the only one present who was mortal enough, I had to look after the key to ............errrr...... downstairs. I gave it to Freda to look after.

They're rare because they kill everything they see. Karn coming back with a handful of scales (s'OK, they fall off naturally. If Karn keeps his wits about him, it'll be easy enough for him to pick up as many as he wants) should be good exercise.
