Change in America - Maybe it can Happen Here is an interesting CNN video in which a former member of the KKK apologizes to a man he attacked 50 years ago. Obama promised change. With episodes like this perhaps change is possible. YouTube - Former KKK member Elwin Wilson apologizes to Rep. John Lewis

Re: Change in America - Maybe it can Happen Oh it is possible. I just don't believe that our second worthless President in a row has anything to do with positive change. Although if Mr. Wilson truly changed his attitude, that would be a positve change.

Re: Change in America - Maybe it can Happen Come on Wiglaf. Obama has been in power less that an month and you are already condemning him as useless? I think he needs a bit more of a chance than that. The problems the US has took years to create and they will take years to eliminate. I think you are going to have to be a bit more patient. And as for second in a row - are your forgetting Reagan, Bush Sr. and Cilinton? If he is useless he would be the forth in a row or maybe fifth, sixth, or seventh if you throw in Carter, Ford, and Nixon. The US has not been well served by its last few presidents or by its corrupt and inefficient Congress. And don't get me started on your state or municipal governments.

Re: Change in America - Maybe it can Happen Drachir, as an American I agree. It is way too soon to judge Obama's presidency. In point of fact I did not vote for him--but in all fairness I feel he should have a reasonable amount of time to at least TRY before people start condemning him. As you correctly pointed out, this situation did not just start in a few monts but over a period of years; we must reasonably allow some time for things to get better--if they are going to get better.
