They're leaving all of that out?
I read on
www.theonering.net that apparently they needed to make up some more scenes especially for Frodo, Gollum and Sam, mostly character stuff to fill the movie.
And another thing was that
Shelob wont be in it until ROTK, not at the end of TTT. Probably so it wont end in a huge cliffhanger.
