Re: Star Wars Collectables

Just ordered the Attakus Salascious Crumb Statue from Forbidden Planet and a Boba Fett collectors plate. (Don't judge me, it was on sale for £5.99.)

No judgement made (if it's the plate with Boba and Jango on, I got it myself! ).

Re: Star Wars Collectables

Good to see you again Shadow. Been well? Have you got any of your pre orders through yet?

As for the plate, I bet they sell out before i can get one. Someone posted it on rebelscum in the Fett collectors focus. They're going to get loads of orders for that.

Re: Star Wars Collectables

Not too bad Rodders, just been very busy!

At least I got our local fete out of the way on Saturday. It was the one where one of the local committee members had asked if I could dress up as Darth Vader! I had only wore the outfit last Halloween (honest ).

Then all of a sudden all the poster AND internet advertisements started indicating come and see/talk to Darth Vader!!! It started to look like I had become top attraction. Holy Crap, you couldn't make it up!

Thankfully it turned out really well and now there are several children that are convinced that Darth Vader is trying to be good and only fought with Luke because Luke didn't do his home work!

Local Press took plenty of photos through the day.

I managed to try not to take myself too seriously throughout the day so gate crashed the rock band (Vader with guitar!), took a few spot penalties at the charity football game and menaced the local Vicar at his religeous/community stand (well I am the dark side after all!)

I believe they are going to put the pictures on a disk for me but here are a couple the wife took:

This is me with a young lad who absolutely loves Star Wars and Vader.

and this is me and son just behind the Marching Band that lead the parade.

Re: Star Wars Collectables

Got the Attakus Salacious Crumb statue this morning. I know that these guys get a lot o flak over the likenesses on their human statues, but their aliens and helmeted statues are superb.

Also got a Boba/Jango Fett plate. It was on sale for £5.99.

Re: Star Wars Collectables

Terrible i know. Forbidden Planet had the GG Han on Tauntaun statue for £89.99. Not a bad price so i've picked one up. Damn, i can't spend any more money for another two months.

Shadow, my mrs. is lending me her camera. Hopefully i'll be able to post some photos of the items i have on display soon.

Re: Star Wars Collectables

I saw the Luke and Han on Tauntauns, very nice, just a little out of my price range at the time.

Have you seen the new Republican Commando Bust Range that will be released this year?

Look forward to your pics!

Re: Star Wars Collectables

Yeah, i saw those busts on Rebelscum yesterday. They are superb. Causing quite a stir due to the way that they're going to be distributed.

As for the statue, my wife is going to kill me.

My Han Solo on a Tauntaun arrived this morning. I also went to Forbidden Planet and got the new Star Wars Hardbacks. Legacy or the Force: Omen (2 Pounds off) and The Clone Wars: No Prisoners (3 Pounds Off.)

Sideshow Collectibles, Inc. - Star Wars / Millennium Falcon 1:72 Scale Model

I saw this a few days agos and was quite apalled by it. Basically, it is a Japanese model kit that has been built and painted and Sideshow wants $800 plus postage and package. (The Japanese kit can be bought online for about $200.) Now, maybe i'm being cynical, but is this not a case of Sideshow fleecing SW collectors.
