Re: Cul's Sports Bar That's a shame it was really good to view. It's the one where he catches the ball just inside the rope, sways his legs, can see he's about to go over the rope and so throws the ball up into the air, goes over the rope, runs back into the field of play and catches the ball before it hits the turf. Hence my comment on it being smart thinking.

Re: Cul's Sports Bar In a college basketball game the other night the announcers were debating the usefulness of that half circle dotted line under the basket which is currently only used at the professional level. I think it is a good idea because it marks the point at which a defender must position himself outside of in order to take a charge. It also gives the referees a visual marker to determine which way the call goes. In fact, I don't see much need to have hardly any variation in the rules between college and NBA and in general I prefer the collegiate rules, just not in this case. Does anybody else have thoughts on this?

| Actum pro novus diem | Re: Cul's Sports Bar I managed to go to the T20 last night. It was a good game. Steve Waugh's team won but then they did have Glen McGrath, Nathan Bracken, David Warner, Ellyse Perry and Steve himself. David Warner got a nice 65 and bowled an over too. It was a good, fun night. |

Re: Cul's Sports Bar Well done to Marcus North, 102 not out on debut!! Aussies now 7/383 and heading to a very good first innings score on what is apparently a seaming and swinging pitch.

Re: Cul's Sports Bar We ended up getting 465, with Mitch Johnson narrowly missing out on an incredible century, finishing up with 96 not out. At the close of play on day 2, we have a great advantage with South Africa 3/85. George Smith was out for a second-ball duck by none other than Mitch Johnson, and Ben Hilfenhaus got Amla for his first test wicket. Hooray!

Re: Cul's Sports Bar So far so good in the Test match, looks like rain may be the only thing preventing an Aussie win. We/They seem to be a more focused side than before or is it that S.A. is having problems dealing with the tag of "potential out-and-out world champion" playing in front of home crowds as some commentators are suggesting?...
