AFL, NRL, it is all the same to me. Don't really watch it but have to follow it to a certain point because of where I work and customers come and talk to me about who is winning and such and I have no idea.

Looking forward to the NRL (rugby league) and the Super 14's (rugby union) starting.

Re: Cul's Sports Bar

Are you the Doggies fan, HJ? It's been so long since the last season, it's all become a bit hazy. But I see this morning that it looks like they might pick up Crocker if his move to England falls through. They're going to have a good pack next year, they've already picked up the cream of the Broncos crop in Hannant, Ennis and Stagg, and Crocker is no slouch. I'm still in mourning over the loss of Hannant and Stagg. Those are the kind of guys we need at the moment, and we let them walk away. Unbelievable.

Re: Cul's Sports Bar

Cul I mean doggies as in Western Bulldogs (AFL) and Gollum I know its almost sacrilege but I support the pies as my "second" team. Anyway bring on the footy and Cul's Bar is a good place to chat about it now that the season is here!

Re: Cul's Sports Bar

I am the Dogs fan Cul, and tbh I don't want Crocker. I think he's a thug and a w**ker.

Other than that I'm optimistic. Truly, for the dogs, the only way is up.

Re: Cul's Sports Bar

Don't worry, I knew you were talking about that heretical southern league, Tanga!

Crocker certainly has his moments, HJ, but on the whole I think he's a lot better nowadays than he was. With good, strong coaching I think he'd fine. Unfortunately for you guys (and us, as well) you don't really know yet what you're getting regarding the coach. For what it's worth I really hope the Dogs improve, and get back on track. I remember the good old stoushes we'd have back in the late nineties. I always looked forward to a Broncs-Dogs game.

Funny Goll, but I am not the least bit surprised that you are a pies fan. Why do perfectly nice and reasonable people follow this team?

As for me, i'm still BIRGing on the Hawks win last year.

Umm......dunno. When I was a youngin in the late '70s they were always in the finals and Grand Finals, so they stuck.

Oh, never fear, I have far from warm and fuzzy feelings for the Dogs, HJ. I just like a good contest.

Re: Cul's Sports Bar

I think one of the best contests in sport is the State of Origin, speaking of rugby league.
