| dark and stormy knight | Re: New forum style! I for one am having problems with the new forum style. It seems a lot slower to go from place to place (at least on my machine) and I tried to post a new thread in the General Book Discussion forum and couldn't. The editing box to write the new thread wouldn't show up (download, whatever). |

| Re: New forum style! Everything's fine here so far except that, while I like low contrast colors and grays and whatnot, I'm finding the gray/white difference in some areas to be too subtle on my display, such as on the page number links on multi-page threads. There should be a box around the numbers and there is, but it's almost invisible. Seems like they used to be more distinct. |

| Living in Paradise | Re: New forum style! Hey Brian I appreciate that we must have some advertising, as you say Chrons must be able to pay for itself, it was the first thing I noticed though, but I can live with it. I like the new picture at the top, I am into asthetics and I havn't yet noticed any problems posting, editing or otherwise. Thanks for your continued maintenance and upgrading of the site, it is appreciated. |

To be honest, chronicles always normally had ads near the top - they used to be under the main navigation (login, UserCP, etc) so perhaps they weren't so noticeable there. If they are too intrusive where they are, I'll drop them down to their original position - just easier from a coding aspect in their current position, but not too much of a hassle to move them back to their original position. |

| Resident vMonkey Breeder | Re: New forum style! First of all, I'd like to say that I'm firmly in the "set-in-stone-width-bang-smack-in-the-middle-of-the-page" camp - I personally think it makes designs look a lot cleaner. And whilst it's not technically a bug, I broke your design as early as Decemeber '07. Sorry! ![]() Final Fantasy Versus XIII It's simply a case of an image that is bigger than the post box forcing the right side out over the border, yet not resizing the entire column. There's a script going round which automatically resizes images based on the available space, and puts a bar above saying "Image resized (orignal size yadda x yidda pixels). Click to show original size". I don't know if it's worth installing that for cases with large images, or if it's easier to use a script that simply squashes the images to fit. Maybe even that squashes the images, and on image-click opens the full size image in a new window. Other than that, fantastic work. I really like the new design. |
