Erm....... it's a bit long to post on fanfic Hat.... it is eight parts long, each with 90 pages and growing. Well over 500,000 words. It's also not the conventional fanfic type of story. It's from the point of view of a Goa'uld and the human female he starts a friendship and then a relationship with on earth after he is taken there by the people from the NID. He escapes and she is one of the people who helps him, not knowing of course, of the battles raging outside in the galaxy and of course not really knowing who the heck the Goa'uld actually are. It's also his story, from when he was on earth before Ra and the Goa'uld were ousted and left earth. It does sort of cover the period of time for the actual series and mirrors many of the happenings and issues, including Daniel's 'ascension'.
Although SG1 are definitely not the focal point of the storyline, I have actually explored aspects of their characters which I thought existed. I have tried to make Sam less perfect, warmer and more human.... in fact she falls in love and has a relationship with an entirely unsuitable character in the novel.
I haven't quite incorporated the happenings in Revelations in the novel, just really touched on them in relation to the general story arc. What I do try to do is to create a three dimensional Goa'uld society, viewed from both their POV and my female human character's POV, and a much more three dimensional galaxy. I don't just have SG1 kicking butt in it. In fact they haven't actually kicked any kind of butt, apart from Jack and Sam getting involved along with my Goa'uld hero in rescuing his human lady from Anubis.... which is where my depiction of Anubis comes in.
