Lucas debuted the trailer/teaser officially in the theatres this past weekend with the release of The Incredibles.
It is certainly a teaser: short and leaves us begging for more. I know that I have bashed Lucas's decisions in regards to the new trilogy and "re-inventing" the original one, but I must admit I REALLY want to see the third episode!
A bit of Star Wars Trivia: George Lucas had the teaser sent out under the surname, Sand Dog. I'll post a scan of the actual teaser in film form once I can figure out how to get attachments working from this computer.
Films coming into the theatres' hands under false titles to curb theft during transportation isn't all that uncommon. For example, Hellboy arrived in projection booths under the title, Tales from the Vatican. I have never, however, seen a teaser sent out under a surname before. |
