Shards of a Broken Crown *Spoiler*

I thought it would be a dud, but I thought it was one of Feists best. I was intruiged by Zaltais, wonder if I'll see him again? I especially liked the part where the dead rose. Now there is a few complaints. Pug used to be my second favourite character, but after serpentwar, he now just annoys the hell out of me, he just seems like a self important prig. I have a feeling I won't be seeing Tomas for a while. I am now up to Talon of the silver hawk, and after serpentwar it seems like its going to be a disapointment. Will there be more about Jimmy's sons? I am intruiged by Dash being the upright man. Wish martin didnt die.

It is/was for me a huge dissapointment. Then again, I've read the SW Saga a good few times and it's some of my favourite fantasy. Feist hasn;t reached such heights before or since.
On Zaltais, he was a dream right? so may not even exist any more, dreams change and move on. Yeah, I have to agree there was al least one book about Jimmy and Dash there to be written, but, such is the rivers flow.

I can't even remember Zaltais...when does he appear?

I enjoyed the Serpent War saga very much and at some point down the line will re-read them all

I really enjoyed SoaBC to be honest. I liked the interactions between the two brothers, the madness of Patrick (youthful madness); but was also disappointed by the end. To suddenly have Zaltais appear and take over the remainder of the Emerald Queen's army over such a short space of time and with no warning says to me that Feist improvised a bit. Although I'm probably wrong!

Will we ever see Zaltais again? I don't think so, but there's always the possibility of another dream entity appearing

Zaltais also described itself as an Angel of the Seventh Circle. Perhaps the dreams of the Greater Gods populate the 7th level of hell?
