| Re: it's a meee! Really Geoff - you know you are a figment of our imaginations - Australia doesn't really exist (even though I've been there! Was it in my dreams?) and so there will actually be no revolution - unless you are talking about the way it moves round and round! Apart from all that I shall add my welcome to our new imaginary friend and hope, ruski2, you enjoy your time here. You have to, you know, as there's no escape! |

| resident pedantissimo | Re: it's a meee! Naw, East Sussex got the Downs. Chalk and flint and – oh, hello, you're the one I'm meant to be welcoming in, and you're not from East Sussex. You probably don't even have chalk. (even further away than Kent) Welcome to this staid, rational home for literary bores. These rarely bring up water, due to the absorption of the chalk. Of course, the occupants are generally absorbed in reading (which is in Berks, not on chalk at all) which means ink, or possibly its electronic equivalent. Don't believe anything he's told you about this place, by the way; we're not like that at all. A more pleasant way of losing time would be hard to imagine. And after all, what else were you planning to do with that time? Sleep, eat, rehearse with a musical instrument? Here, at least. reality is irrelevant, rationality an interesting if improbable theory. Try not to annoy any elder gads, would you please? they've got a little erratic with their thunderbolts and such recently, and it's so nice not to have any major repairs to do. |
