| Re: Who has a book? All of the information that you require about my existing 4 books are available on my website www.swordpublishing.co.uk Brian. However, as I'm never one to miss the opportunity for a spot of publicity, I'll post a few details here: The Darkweaver Legacy (New review just published in the reviews section here by Dwndrgn) is a series of 4 easy-reading medieval fantasy novels aimed at the YA market. It is a tale of magic and high adventure with all the usual elements of swords and sorcery, but with a military theme that gives it a different flavour from many of the stories currently on the market. Book 1 - The Forging of the Sword introduces the majority of the main characters, setting in place the overall conflict between the hero, Calvyn, and the eventual villain - an enigmatic magician called Selkor. I am under no illusions as to the quality of the writing in this first book - I have improved vastly since this first effort. Despite the known weaknesses, however, the response from the readership has been astounding. The story and characters have captured the imagination of thousands, sparking a flood of requests for more... hence... Book 2 - Trail of the Huntress. With the exception of my new book, Imperial Spy - to be published by Simon & Schuster in Spring 06, this is probably my favourite story of the series. The plot was better thought out and a lot less predictable, with a lot of good twists towards the end of the story. The writing was also better than the first, as I began to develop a little more style to the prose. The book nicely paved the way for... Book 3 - First Sword which for any fans of the Roman era, might become a favourite. Much of this book is set in a Roman style amphitheatre, where gladiators fight for glory and money, whilst prisoners and outcasts are thrown in as easy fodder for the trained fighters to practice on. There are multiple storylines running throughout this book, which would not be easily followed unless you had read the previous two books. This is a series after all. Which means that as the story did not conclude, along came... Book 4 - The Chosen One. Not a very original title, as I came to discover later! You might have thought that I would have researched that before going to print, but it's just one of the many mistakes I made whilst undertaking this vast project. The story concludes with the predictably cataclysmic magical encounter between two of the main protagonists. This ends the main thread, though others, whilst rounded to a suitable point, are left open for further stories. One such thread is about a female spy called Femke, who arrives in the Royal Court at the conclusion giving rise to… A new series! Book 1 – Imperial Spy(Spring 06) a fantasy with NO MAGIC! This is all spies, murder, intrigue and adventure set in the same world as The Darkweaver legacy with a few overlapping characters. I’ll say no more for now. The fact that Simon & Schuster bought it probably says enough. I’m currently writing… Book 2 – Imperial Assassin (Autumn 06) which continues straight on from Imperial Spy with much the same theme, though most of the action happens in a neighbouring country. The lead role switches from the spy to a young Legionnaire called Reynik, who is set the task of infiltrating the Guild of Assassins. The Darkweaver Legacy is available through www.amazon.co.uk Search under the series title, the individual book titles, or the author’s name – Mark Robson - though there is another pretender to my name who writes history books, so be sure to get the correct title, or you might be disappointed! Alternatively, you can simply follow the links from www.swordpublishing.co.uk or order direct from me at the same site. There are also links to several third party reviews here by reputable review websites, as well as a multitude of short reviews and comments by readers. There is also information about me… and a photo if you’re really interested!I hope some of you check it out. |

| Goblin Princess | Re: Mark Robson books Hi, Mark. This is pretty interesting, having our own boards! (Although you, at least, already have readers in these forums.) I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of The Forging of the Sword, which I ordered from Amazon. At the rate it's coming across the ocean (in a very small craft, powered by oars, I feel certain) it will probably be much dog-earred by the whales and the flounders before I ever see it, but I daresay they'll find it entertaining. (Better entertainment for the fishes than fish food, I always say.) Still, going by the Amazon reviews of your books, I know I have a treat in store when it finally arrives. |

For those overseas who do want to try my books, I'm beginning to think that amazon is perhaps not the best place to go - unless you try amazon.co.uk and accept the higher shipping charge. Alternatively, I will investigate the costs of using paypal. If this appears a reasonable alternative, I will alter my personal website accordingly. Dwndrgn, your anticipation is probably no more than my own. I've been looking forward to it for what seems like ages and it's still a year away yet.

![]() I believe that a personal account is just for making payments, while business is for receiving payments as well. There are some countries that have problems with Paypal, but it's definitely an accessible processor, especially for the US.

| Re: Mark Robson books I'd noticed that your books weren't listed on either of the Book Information sites that I use. One of them is a large database of sci-fi, fantasy and horror novels where users can add their comments and reviews of books . It's basically a large resource for readers to find out about authors books.I am a member of that database site so have added your first book onto their database. Hopefully other readers there looking for info on books will find you Here's the link to the site out if interest - http://www.sfbookcase.com/about.asp |

| Re: Mark Robson books Not sure if you've noticed but I like to post bio's on the author's forums They are a good source of info for readers who want to know about what's published or coming out I find them invaluable. So I wondered if you would like to post your own bio, as you'll know more about your books and future works than me. You'd be able to post possible publication dates too and keep us appraised |
