March's Vote

Choose one,
choose it well,
is it a good book?
You can never tell.

Re: March's Vote

Although I love Jules Verne, I'd prefer to re-read him for his anniversary next month.
And as I wanted a little scifi, I've voted for the one I've got : Robert Silverberg.

Re: March's Vote

I'd love to see more discussion of Cherryh on these forums, so naturally I voted for The Faded Sun. It's some of her earliest (and best!) science fiction.

Re: March's Vote

I met Pratchett at a Train station once, a long time ago.

He's a bit of a nob...I like him

Re: March's Vote

It looks like people are in the mood for a friendly chuckle...Small Gods has a small lead after 11 votes. Those of you who haven't chosen should get in while you can - make your voice heard (er, whatever, you know what I mean )

Re: March's Vote

It turns out it was Norstrilia, not Nostrilla. Nostrilla is a nasal spray. My mistake.

Re: March's Vote

Poll now closed. Pratchett's Small Gods wins (and Om will smile). Beg, borrow or buy a copy and join in the discussion if you will. Ironically, Small Gods happens to be one I don't have. Hmm. Maybe the library does. We'll see.

As an aside, this will make a good thing to read for anyone going to WorldCon as I hear that Terry Pratchett will be attending. Wish I could go.
