Recomend to order

I've read a few of the riftwar books, the first three. but my local library only has those three by fiest. any recomendations for others so that I can order? I don't want to order the whole bibliography, just one or two at a time. so i need an order here (order of novels in a particular sequence)

Re: Recomend to order

Ok I am assuming that the last book you read was A Darkness at Sethanon. The next book you need to get would be Prince of the Blood. Have fun with it !

Re: Recomend to order

1st in the series to the last:

magician: apprentice

magician: master

silverthorn

a darkness at sethanon

prince of the blood

the kings buccaneer

If you haven't read Magician... you should dig into it... in fact get all the books on that list you haven't read beginning at the top^.

Re: Recomend to order

I read Murder in LaMut recently and enjoyed it. However, I had read the entire Riftwar series and the Empire series beforehand and therefore had a bit of background.

Re: Recomend to order

I'd say that the best of his is the Empire series - though that's co-written with Janny Wurts.

Daughter of the Empire
Servant of the Empire
Mistress of the Empire

The Riftwar Saga is his next best, but you say yu've read that. The quality isn't really maintained after that, but the Serpentwar saga is pretty good as well. Then there's the Conclave of Shadows series, but it's nothing special. Below that all of his work is far below that of the Riftwar saga, and only worth reading if you're a devoted fan (like me - I read them all because he was the first proper fantasy author other than Tolkien that I had read). You may as well not bother with the Krondor books, or Prince of the Blood or The King's Bucaneer, or with the Legends of the Riftwar series unless you really want to find out more about Midkemia and Feist's overall story, because they aren't particularly well written.
