Yes, she's my oldest daughter (of three) and I'm very proud of her! You can find all her titles on her fabulous website - Rhiannon Lassiter.com - which she designed herself.

She got a contract for the first two books in the Hex trilogy when she was 19!

It is the name of the Welsh enchantress in the Mabinogion but I don't know its meaning.

Re: Rhiannon Lassiter

Rhiannon means "witch", "goddess" or "queen". I'm happy with any of those meanings.

Thanks for the praise, animal_lover06, I appreciate it.

Hello, witch-goddess-queen daughter! This is another way of communicating, to add to all our others! Can't beat telepathy though.

Re: Rhiannon Lassiter

Someone did ask me recently if Arianna was the Italian version of Rhiannon. They'd been reading City of Masks (dedicated to me) and thought the heroine might be named after me too.

But no, Arianna is (I believe) the Italian for Ariadne, isn't that right, Mary?

Yup. I wanted Lucien to have a guide through the mazy paths of Bellezza and thought the Italian version of Ariadne would be just the right name for such a female guide, hence Arianna.

It never occured to me that it was like Rhiannon but it is - a bit!
