Heh, heh. That sounds familiar - something I've done more than once. Best way I know of to completely get rid of my stress. Just wish I could pick up and go now.

Seriously, that sounds like a good book.

Re: March suggestions

I think so too, but as it includes neither swords nor sorcery, nary a prophecy and certainly not a single dark lord, I rest confident in the knowledge we shall never read it as a group.

Re: March suggestions

Lest we forget, the members of this club have been forced to read both American Gods and Tarzan of the Apes so far. It is only a matter of time before something sci-fi wins.

Re: March suggestions

I am not into the sorcery thing nor the darklord thing but I do like the swords and sometimes the prophecy. One of these days I hope we will pick Pillars of the Earth.... not a fantasy... a historical fiction but so well written and intriguing I finished a 1000pg book in less than the week...

Re: March suggestions

How about something by C J Cherryh? I.e the Faded Sun? It's sci-fi.

Ok, that's enough suggestions for now and I'll post a poll shortly.
