Talking Re: There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

I would like to express how excited I am of this news.
A couple weeks ago, I was so happy to find out that my favorite books series has a 4th installment! I love the Stravaganza series very much! Arianna and Luciano are my favorites, but I must say that I have grown quite fond of Georgia and Nick as I reread the series over the past couple days. I have barely moved since I've been reading them so much!

It makes me depressed to think that I have to wait for the next book, but I'm willing to do so. I love this series even more than the great Twilight series, which I have also read several times and really like.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always wanted to be a famous actress. I had a dream of being in Bellezza once, and it made me so happy! Ever since, I have hoped that maybe they would make movies of these great books. If they ever do, I'm crossing my fingers that I can at least get an auditon for Arianna! It's now one of my greatest dreams to play her in the movie, if it is ever made.

I just wanted to tell you how much I adore the books! I've written a few books myself, never published of course, but none ever as good as yours! I'm about half way through City of Secrets for the first time, and I'm very excited! I can't wait for the next one! Keep up the amazing work!

What a lovely message to find this morning, Jessina! Currently I have two large plumbers replacing four radiators on the ground floor of my house, so I am up in the attic with my laptop and not having a very productive day.

There is no news on a film and these are difficult times financially, But we can hope.

I'm glad you are enjoying City of Secrets. City of Ships is edited and I am just waiting for the copyedits. It will be out in the spring. Meanwhile I have to edit the Readers Guide for Troubadour and draw a map of the sea-battle in City of Ships. Since I'm trying to write an adult novel this summer, it's all a bit disruptive but heigh-ho, it's the writer's life and I never wanted anything else.

It's good to know that someone likes Stravaganza better than Twilight! Do spread the word.

Thanks so much for posting.

All best

Mary

As soon as I'm done with City of Secrets and my summer reading, I'll be sure to read some more of your books. I'm very excited, really!

I hope that we can see more of Arianna and Luciano in City of Ships and the other books to come, however many there may be.

And I was very happy when I got a reply, haha!

Jessina.

Re: There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

Ms. Hoffman, this is my absolute favorite series!!! I am sooooo glad that the fifth book is coming in the spring, and the sixth will come after that. I have just finished reading City of Secrets; it became one of my favorite books ever! I can hardly wait for City of Ships to come out.

Thank you very much, nr15! My editor says she thinks that Ships is now her favourite!

Just the copyedits to finish - my copyeditor is going on maternity leave the week after next, so she'll send then off to me, then disappear and her maternity cover will have to do the follow-through. Fingers crossed!

So glad you liked Secrets.

Re: There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

You're Welcome!

For those of you who forget a lot about what happens in the books, I also think it's best to reread before you read a new Stravaganza book (that sounded confusing, didn't it?). I find that I forget a lot of events from the previous books of this series. I just read City of Secrets like 2 weeks ago, but I read the City of Masks, Stars, and Flowers almost a year ago. I forgot a lot of characters and important details!!! So I'd recommend rereading.

Now, before you start snoring about my boring stuff, I would just like to say that I am looking forward to the City of Masks movie. I'm not really ecstatic about it because a lot of the things in the book just won't really make sense on screen (no offense intended). Of course, I will watch City of Masks in theaters (probably within the first week!), but I'm not sure if it will be as good as the books...

Whew, that was a looong post!! Just one more thing. Ms. Hoffman, I think it is a great idea to post some things about Stravaganza on Facebook. The only thing is that I don't have a Facebook. Hmm...maybe I'll find a way to sneak into my brother's account... (I'm just kidding!!! lol)

SUPER-LONG POST!!!

Uh-oh! This one again. THERE IS NO CITY OF MASKS MOVIE! I don't know where this idea comes from but surely I would know if there was going to be one?

I do my best in the FAQs on my website and the Stravaganza website to scotch this rumour but it persists in cyberspace.

And why can't you get your own FB account? It's free. Maybe your parents object? Anyway the Luciano Arianna thing won't happen for a while so maybe you'll have one by then.

Re: There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

I just joined and the main reason I joined is I came across this thread in a search for more information on your next book and I just had to tell you how much I love the series! City of Masks has been my favorite book since it came out. It is the only book I've ever read that I could not put down and read it every spare moment I had. I am very excited for City Of Ships! I will have to hold myself up in bed and read all day when it comes out

I'll be taking City of Masks to Hawaii with me in October for the plane flight so I can reread it to prepare for City of Ships! Can't wait!

I actually have a funny story about that:
When I was in 7th grade, my book reading got so obvious in class that my teacher would ask what I was reading every time. Almost every time it was a different book (she asked every other day or so), eventually she stopped asking what I was reading and instead focused on the amount I was reading. I even got a "special" introduction every time we had a new guest come into the classroom. Each guest would be introduced to the class and she would have a couple of students stand up and talk about whatever she thought was so cool about them. I had to stand up and say how many books I was reading at that point, the numbers ranged from 12 to 20.

I have NO idea how I do it, but I just do and everyone I know thinks I'm weird.
That happened to me to in Year 4 (sorry not sure what grade that is). In English we had to read a book all together (it was about the Amazon if you're interested) and instead of reading it I was reading a different book under the table and then when it was my turn to read pretended I was really confused and got someone else to help me find where to read. It worked until my teacher saw me lol
Yay I cant wait for the 6th book. Wait... the 5th one hasn't come out yet has it??? After the 3rd one came out I checked everything like once a week to see when the 4th was coming out, then I stopped and suddenly one day found it in Waterstones hehe. I think it makes waiting a bit easier if you just don't think about it.

Sorry bout how far back that's going, I just found it and thought 'hey I did something like that!'

That's completely fine, I'm glad I'm not the only person like that! My parents (and I) were starting to wonder about that.

Smile Re: There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

I am sooo happy there will be a new Stravaganza book!!!! I've just finished City of Stars and I thought it was amazing! All the twists and turns plus the scemeing from the diChimichi family make great reading. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the next two and by the time i've finished them, it'll hopefully be time for City of Ships.
I stumbled across City of Masks in the summer holiday and it took me weeks to read. Im not usually a slow reader but this took me ages!! At the bit where Lucian's parents had to turn off his life support machine I actually shouted at the book " No he's alive! Just leave it a couple more days!" Im so pleased to hear there will be a sixth book! Will there be one for all the cities? I was looking on the Stravaganza website and found the Guide to Talia which was really interesting. Thans soo much for putting it on! I realised i've being saying Bellezza wrong. Instead of bell-ETZ-ah I've been saying bell-ezz-ah. I should have known really because of pizza and mezzo.
Does anyone know what happened to Falco's body in City of Stars? I didn't understand what it meant about there being nothing there? Did it just disappear? I think these books are amazing!!!! Sorry for such a long post but I've got soooo much to say!

So glad you are enjoying the series. I am proofreading City of Ships right now.

Falco's body was buried in Giglia; it was his shadow that wasn't there, because he had been translated to our world.
