I ordered mine from Amazon. It only took about a week to a week and a half to arrive. If you really don't want to wait you could always do that. The shipping's not so bad.

I would, but, as you very kindly pointed out, it's a paperback, and the hardback isn't released until July. And I am really weird, because, if one of my books in a series are paperback, they all have to be paperback, and if one is hardback, they all have to be hardback (don't ask me why, they just do). All my other Stravaganza books are hardback, so I have to wait till July to get it. So, yeah. I was so annoyed when I found out that the hardback wasn't released until July. Sorry, I must sould like an alien to you.

Not at all - I quite understand. The decision to change covers and go straight into paperback was Bloomsbury's own - not mine. So you'll get the hardback from the States? Amazon.com say they'll have it 22nd June, which is a bit closer. Sorry you have to wait.

No, don't apologise. As you said the decision was made by Bloomsbury, and not you. And I think that both decisions were very good. This one is just a teeny it inconvenient to me. Anyway, I am sure that it will be every bit worth the wait, City of Ships will be just as excellent as your other books.

Oh my gosh, I'm the same way!! I thought I was weird for doing that, it's nice to know that I'm not alone!
This can get quite expensive though...especially when you have to buy extra copies of the books. I have two sets of Harry Potter because my mom couldn't wait for them to come, so she bought the last three the moment they did...I still have to buy hardbacks of #1-4 and paperback of #7...

City of Ships is out...YAY!!!!

I went and put it on hold at the local library and there were 12 holds already! At this point there was only one copy avaliable...and while there were several copies on order, my library didn't have one! GRRRR!!!! I really don't like waiting...
