Re: Newcon 4

Many, many thanks Ian.

I caught up with a lot of old friends and made some new ones. I also spent way too much money on books. (Ian's fault for having that special addition ROFL!)

I can also say I had a meal with the Guests of Honour, well, ok I was in the same restaurant, along with a hundred plus other folks ROFL!!!!

You were more than that, Sue, you sat at the same table... I mean, okay, it was a big table, but even so...

Glad you enjoyed yourselves, Billy and Sue... Have to admit, I had a blast, despite the constant hard work.

And yes, it does seem likely we'll be doing a NewCon 5 -- Northampton's most famous son has even said he'll come along next year as well!

Sorry, the images haven't come out for some reason... Will have to discover why and try again.

With 50 plus people I bet, and I sat quietly at the far end with Una...

Re: Newcon 4

Well there you are then... You got to sit with SF author and thoroughly nice lady, Una McCormack!! Doesn't get much better than that!

... And it was only 32 at the table by the way (plus three who were stuck on a table by themselves).

Ian, use imageshack.us, it's fast and pics remain there forever and ever and ever ... Your problem is the URL, look at it, image tags aren't going to understand that sort of URL, they cannot even resolve the originating address.

Re: Newcon 4

Just found this thread and I completely second Who's Wee Dug. It was my first convention and I had a great time. Everyone was really friendly and I think I learned more about SF in two days than I have in 5 years. Again, thanks for all the help, Ian.

Incidentally my thoughts on it are here:
