| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) Oh, not sure. I saw he was in England for the game. Did he get cut after that? *edit - he did. Aussies are dropping. Graham gone. McBriar has a broken foot. It's all up to Sav (who I thought was very lucky to make the team last year). Pakulak used to be with Tennessee during Pre-season. |

| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) Falcons went down to the wire with KC before winning, Cul. Apparently too early for the oddsmakers to have anything on next week, though...then again, what more incentive do you want? Division game, Falcons are ahead of the Saints in the standings, staying in the play-off race, everything to gain if you snag this one! |

| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) Well the Pats lost to the Colts last night, bummer. I've been sick this weekend, so that didn't make me feel any better. ![]() But I feel that Belichick lost this game for us. Not sure what was going on with the use of time outs last night. And I wish I could smack David Thomas across the head for that ridiculous penalty that took us out of field goal range. But I think Cassel is improving. He's definately not holding the ball as long as he was. |

| Keep Moving Forward! | Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) Well, after leading for almost the entirity of the first half, Grim's Skins have fallen behind on a Roethlisberger sneak right on half-time. From the numbers it looks like a bit of a defensive battle... |

| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) Unfortunately, nothing doing. The O-Line gave up in the second half, and the concept of clock management when behind continues to elude the Skins. Oh well, into the bye week with the hope of regaining winning ways afterwards..... |

| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) And, having managed to sleep DESPITE another horrible showing by the Skins on Monday Night (we hate MNF, for some reason...didn't help that the Steelers defense was awesome), we stand thusly: Cayal 8-0 Grim 6-3 LOW 5-3 Pyan 5-3 Ursa 5-4 J-Sun 5-4 Weasel 4-4 Cul 4-4 (bye week) Edott 4-4 (bye week) Seph 4-4 Parson 4-4 Wiglaf 3-5 (bye week) Joja 2-6 Clovis 2-6 (bye week) Simian 2-7 Monty 0-8 Lots of parity here, with 3 games all that separates 12 of us.... |

| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) I just read on ESPN Oakland are looking to cut DeAngelo Hall and Javon Walker (among others). Hall and Walker were signed to mega deals this past off-season. Al Davis is completely whacko. |

| Keep Moving Forward! | Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) If they're trying to dump him I figured he mightn't be worth it, but I saw that the Redskins and the Pats amongst others were after his signature in the off-season, so thought there has to some kind of potential... |

| Causa Scientiae | Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) Didn't get to follow the game this weekend, unfortunately, but reading the reports it seems like it was a more convincing win than the scoreline suggests. Decent performances all round. Sets up a HUGE game against the Pack next week, since we're both 4-4. Pity I won't be able to see it on TV, but I'll hopefully be able to follow it on the Game Centre, at least. Skol Vikings! Let's go! |

| Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!) "In his eight games in Oakland, Hall was beaten 40 times for 552 yards on 66 passes thrown his way, according to data compiled by STATS LLC. He gave up more yards than any defender this season and was tied for third worst in catches allowed." |
