Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!)

Well I'm glad the Cardinals sold out the stadium so fast. Hopefully it will feel like a 'home field.' When we went to the Giants/Cardinals game, there were way too many Giants fans there. Hopefully that won't be the case (Philly fans) for them this time.

I wish I'd picked with my heart instead of my head (or what I thought was a head, anyway) - I'd be up there with you.

This one will be the toughest, though, especially as Suggs may be out.

Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!)

You and me both, sir!

Wiggs - Steelers
J-Sun - Ravens
Py - Ravens
Cul - Eagles
Ursa - Steelers
Parson - Steelers
LOW - Cardinals (I think?!)
Grim - Steelers

Werewoman? WJ? Cayal? Anyone else? Clock is ticking, about 11 hours left for your picks....

Sorry if my last post was misleading - I'm definitely rooting for the Ravens but I'm a glutton for punishment and had picked the Cards to lose as my actual pick.

So I can confidently predict a Cards and Ravens Super Bowl and an 0-3 record for myself.

Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!)

Hmmm, see earlier posts for rules, J. The expected winner is chosen here. The Ravens apparently are NOT your choice, so I will put you down for the Eagles to win (thereby satisfying your choice of the Cardinals to lose).

And so, on Championship Game Day in the NFL, we have the following picks:

Wiggs - Steelers
J-Sun - Eagles
Py - Ravens
Cul - Eagles
Ursa - Steelers
Parson - Steelers
LOW - Cardinals (I think?!)
Grim - Steelers
WJ - Eagles

Off we go...!

Not the Cardinals for me Grim, this is my original post saying I am picking Philly this week.

Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!)

Daily, Py.

Apologies, Lady, but see Parson's postings for tips on how to emphatically declare your choices for me (as noted in many elsewheres around here, dense is the Grimward!).

Wiggs - Steelers
J-Sun - Eagles
Py - Ravens
Cul - Eagles
Ursa - Steelers
Parson - Steelers
LOW - Eagles
Grim - Steelers
WJ - Eagles

EDIT: Arizona 7, Philly 3 but the Iggles are driving at the end of the 1st Quarter....

Re: Football (american football to those across the pond!)

For the first half, it is indeed the Kurt Warner (and more significantly Edgerrin James!) of old. Meanwhile, it appears to be the Philly team that the Skins swept, not the world-beaters of recent note...
