Re: What "scene"? (Again spoilers through AFFC) The theory is that Rahegar was there with Lyanna and their love child and that when he went off to fight Robert he left those Kingsguard to watch over Lyanna and her baby.

Re: What "scene"? (Again spoilers through AFFC) Hello, first post on probably an old thread, but I'm making sure I don't forget everything about these books before the next one comes out (whenever that will be.) Anyway, on to the topic. I'm not sure it counts because it's kind of related to the Red Wedding, but it definitely elicited the most emotional response from me, and that was when Sandor hit Arya with his axe. I was pretty belligerent at that point because I thought GRRM had killed off my favorite character. I made a friend of mine flip through the chapter headings and see if he saw any others titled 'Arya'.

Re: What "scene"? (Again spoilers through AFFC) My favourite scene is probably the few scenes where Davos' loyalty to Stannis is rewarded. Such as when Davos is pulled out of the dungeons and told of the plan to attack that random lord's island and he says it's a stupid plan. The Florent guy calls him a traitor and goes to have him hauled back into the dungeons and Stannis makes him his hand. Or when Stannis puts his sword at Davos' neck and says he will be executed for saving the boy, then Davos reads the letter from the Wall.

Re: What "scene"? (Again spoilers through AFFC) My favourite scene is actually Arya's last lesson with Syrio. He tells her that when they return to Winterfell then she can finally begin practising with Needle, and just moments later Syrio takes down four or five Lannister guardsmen and fends off a kingsguard knight with nothing but a wooden pole.

Re: What "scene"? (Again spoilers through AFFC) The Tower of Joy flashes. Jaime's retelling of his killing of Aerys. The Hound and Arya bitching at each other was hilarious. Anything with Oberyn, but his fight with Gregor.
