Re: Predictions for the Lannisters Tyrion - Hope he makes it to the end and finds a place for himself. I think he will. Jaime - Same Cersei -I really, really hope Cersei's downfall is drawn out, painful and humiliating at the end. But as we've seen with the abrupt deaths of Joffrey and Tywin, I doubt I will get this. She will die though. Lancel - It doesnt seem like he considers himself a part of the Lannister clan anymore. I'm sure others still view him that way, but he seems to have pulled himself out. I have a feeling he will survive. Kevan - Dead. Will try and pull some crazy Tywin impersonation and fail. Daven - I see him dying in a large battle.

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters Sorry Wiggum et al! I may have gotten carried away solving my Tarth/Tarly problem. I blame caffeine, Targ blood and Qhorin! ![]() I think it's possible that Jaime will take a mortal wound saving Brienne, in a battle to restore Dany, and die in Brienne's arms.

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters i was unable to find (read - too lazy) more appropriate topic to ask my question but... just finished reading affc and was totally amazed at how jaime ignored cersei's letter. now i keep thinking, how is she gonna get herself out of her current situation? is margaery really the queen from maggy's prophecy and jaime the valonqar, killing her by his inaction? and if there is going to be a trial, is someone going to bring some of robert's bastards to prove cersei's incest? that would do it for tommen, and pretty much the prophecy would be fullfilled. who could sit on the throne after tommen,if he really falls? no matter how much i'd like danny to be the queen from the prophecy, i don't think cersei could go on much longer with her being so stupid. and i believe this would be pretty good time for some major twist, not just removing her from the game but tommen too and setting someone else on the iron throne. bout tyrion, i think he's gonna end up as danny's counsellor, probably training her dragons too, since he likes to read about them so much. kevan could jump in to rule in tommen's name if he somehow remains the king, but...

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters Did jaime actualy ignore cerseis letter or dd just try to burn the evidence? I think Tyrion will be the only Lanister to survive as Dany will save him. Jaime will be given the chance to escape the sparrows clutches and die in a legendry battle or he'll be humiliated and die in shame just as ppl begin to like him. GRRM will prob choose the later me thinks as he likes good plot twists. If he kills off cersie i wil not be happy I LUV to HATE her way too much for him to get rid of her just yet!Besides to satisfy my ideals for the ending she has to meet dany before gettin the boot

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters Ok ..... We don't know what Jaime is going to do with Cersei with regards to her plea. Most likely he will return to her though. He put the letter in the fire cuz there is no point in keeping it now that the message is there. Bolton did the same with his own letter from fat Walda. Margaery is not the queen from Cersei's prophecy, that would be Dany. Cersei, like always has assumed wrong and only made things worse. Tommen and Myrcella are both going to die. Most likely around the same time i would assume, but not together. The prophecy states that Golden shall be their crowns and gold shall be their shrouds. And yes, Cersei will probably die at the hands of one of her brothers. Initially it was though tto be Tyrion , but as of late more speculation is growing for Jaime.

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters I think to answer the question we need to look at something very basic- the title of the series. While I'm not sure that the Lannisters will all die, I have to believe that they will become irrelevant, with the exception of of Tyrion, maybe. i think The Ace had it right in the second post of the thread.

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters People also need to realize that not all the Lannisters are in the wrong or bad. Most don't have a clue about the internal workings that are going on and are just fighting for their duty, honor, house and Lord. I find it highly unlikely that the entire branch will be wiped out or even removed from their position in the West. Defeated and lessened in power or influence??, maybe ... Broken and thrown to the curb?? ...doubtful.

![]() I also wondered if the prettier queen would be Margery, Dany or perhaps even Sansa? I think the "main" Lannister line are all going to be killed personally. | |

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters Once upon a time I had hoped that Jaime would have some jointed steel fitting with a sword blade on it that would allow him to fight somewhat with his right hand (think about the saddle Tyrion made for Bran who was also a cripple - he often has a kind of mechanical ingenuity), but those hopes were dashed at the end of AFFC. Unless of course something brings the two brothers together (their hatred of Cersie combined with the arrival of Dani - it would be interesting to see what happens when the Kingslayer meets the omnipowerful neice of the king he slew!). It's not completely out of the realm of possibility - didn't Martin initially intend for several years to pass between some of these books to allow the kids to grow up a little more? Seems like I read that somewhere.

Re: Predictions for the Lannisters Hey Purlpe Kath, here's what I think - Cersei will have her champion fight for her redemption according to the old laws of the Seven, which will of course be approved of by the new overly pious septon. And her champion - Frankenmountain!! Qyburn, though very suspicious, seems to have some preference for the Lannisters (helping Jaime with his hand, suckling up to Cersei constantly) b/c they are able to provide him with gold and supplies and people to experiment on, so I believe that he, more than anyone else, is most likely to help Cersei out of her current predicament. Even if Jaime wanted to help it would be too late. She sent him to the other half of the continent in her arrogance, thinking he could do nothing for her, and now she pleads for him to save her. Serves her right! Women!!!! But Qyburn is right at hand (no pun intended, Jamie . . .) and he will not hesitate to test his monstrosity in action. The result will be that the Faith will be utterly appaled by the abomination and there will even greater strife between the church and the throne until the point at witch Dani lands on Dragonstone and begins her take over, sending dragons and a fleet of Free Cities' ships to plague King's Landing. Of course, by then Euron will probably have control of one of the dragons (which I have to say, in all the discussions of who the three heads will be no one seems to bring this up?), but whether he uses it for Dani or for himself I am not sure. I have a sneaking suspcion that he is closely associated with the Great Other (sailing all the way to Valyria to claim the horn, speaking about how he has seen hundreds of gods and none of them are real, cold blue lips, mute deck crew, etc.)
