| Amphibian Monster Find this Sci Fi Book Please About 15 years ago read excellent sci fi book. Setting: Some humans were trying to settle on a new planet. Their main problem was a huge amphibian beast that moved unbelievably fast. Apart from the humans, it fed on a local small friendly furry species. Humans eventually defeat beast (and it's mother) but this leaves a food chain vacuum and the small friendly beasts turn extremely nasty. The paperback jacket blurb said something about the monster being based on the life cycle of an Amazonian frog (I think). Ring any bells with anyone? Would love to get hold of the title as my son would enjoy it. |

| Re: Amphibian Monster Find this Sci Fi Book Please And you've beat me to it ... I think it is indeed. Have just been looking at my copy. I thought it might be Grendels. And yes there's frogs involved too. ![]() |
