Re: Short Fantasy Publishers

Well then I imagine my work submitted to RoF will get shot down. Oh well ;-( I'll keep sifting through the lists to find the right markets.

Don't imagine the worst. You want to start with the professional markets first, you're doing it right. Then if they pass, you move on.

Re: Short Fantasy Publishers

Just don't tell us independents that you got turned down by XYZ so you've come to us as your last resort.

We tend not to appreciate that, even if it's true

Re: Short Fantasy Publishers

Hardly. I think it's great to have a variety of publishers with a variety of styles and lengths published. I love browsing the published fiction of the independents and seeing short stories from new talent. While some of the work isn't perfect, the ideas are often incredibly fresh.

Well the tips paid off here! I've already been accepted and published online! This is my first paid publication. I'm thrilled! :-)

Many congrats, Rol!! You know, you could always give us a link to the story so that we can actually read it.
