Re: Rising Petrol prices a good thing.

Of course sometimes doing it on the cheap can have its drawbacks

Should that be Fumes? Otherwise, I'm surprised he had been making it before without a problem.

Re: Rising Petrol prices a good thing.

Perhaps they meant to say ignited the fumes causing flames which caused the explosion.

Re: Rising Petrol prices a good thing.

A YouGov survey out yesterday said that 2/3 of Britons are switching to Public Transport because of rising fuel prices:
Sky-high fuel prices push drivers to consider public transport | Business | guardian.co.uk

I only wish it were so easy! I'd gladly sell one, or both, of our cars if I could get to work any other way. Apart from the petrol, the tax, insurance and repairs cost the Earth anyway. If these people in the Survey can switch so easily why do they have cars anyway?

Still, less people using cars has to be a good thing doesn't it? Though I'm not sure that these surveys ask the right questions. Many people might say they would consider switching, but there is a difference to whether they actually do switch.

Did he really think this? If so what planet is this man living on. How out of touch are these politicians?
I wonder how fat his bank account got.
