| slightly afraid of knarls | Re: If you could ask JK Rowling anything Oh, and what was it that Dudley saw in book 5 when he was demented that freaked him out so badly. Unless I blatantly missed it, it's never explained anywhere, a lose end she missed maybe? Last edited by Miss Taylor; 4th January 2010 at 12:59 PM. |

| Re: If you could ask JK Rowling anything I suppose I'd ask her if she had ever considered giving Ron and Hermoine their own voices in the books even if occassionally as opposed to just letting Harry interpret everything. I love the books but it got a little old after a while of just hearing Harry's thoughts. I wanted to know what his friends were thinking as well. |

| Re: If you could ask JK Rowling anything Now there's an interesting idea....picture hearing everything thru Ron's "emotional range of a teaspoon".... ![]() I'd love to see how the wizarding world spins thru Luna's mental filter, though....and Fred/George, too. |

I'd have to ask her why she created a character who she strongly implied was one of the greatest wizards of all time, then made him so inept at using magic, and finally admitted his power wasn't really magical talent but his ability to love. Nice moral for a guy who did more than he was able to, less so for one who consistently did quite a bit less than it was implied he should have been able to.

| Re: If you could ask JK Rowling anything If I could ask J.K. Rowling anything... Well for starters I always thought Harry and Hermione would end up together because from books 1 - 5 it certainly seems like it and then book 6 came out and all it was was Harry's internal dialogue about a monster in his stomach every time Ginny was around! I was like 'What!? Since when has Ginny interested him in that way!?' I mean it was obvious that she went for the whole James and Lily concept again, but seriously! Why write 5 books that look to be going one way and then write the last two which don't make sense when it comes to the pairings? I mean, it seems more like Ron and Hermione hated each other the whole way through and then they suddenly love each other? I mean come on! Plus, Ginny had some weird obsession with Harry, I mean that would scare guys off, not have a random monster appear that needs its appetite satiated! Okay...rant over. I would ask her these things... |

'Just how large is your lack of reading comprehesion?' As she made quite clear in the 'Interview of Doom' as it's called by all those sunk Harmonians she dropped anvil sized hints throughout the books that Ron and Hermione were always destined to be together. She also had a good few hints that Harry was much more aware of Ginny than he realised. I myself would ask her just how many murders Snape committed as a Death Eater
