Is it that this is A Psychic Detective Novel, the individual title being Demon?
Yes sorry, my books are all about my protaganist who is the Psychic Detective and this book is called DEMON and the next one will be called WITCHES.

I was intending to have my name and the Psychic Detective on the front of every book. Maybe it should be smaller font?

Re: More Cover advice

Well, I had to run downstairs and take a look at a few covers from my shelves. In general, it seems the big name authors like Patterson, King, Feist...have large fonts with thier names usually at the top of the pic. The smaller authors go 50/50 with having thier names as large a font, or near, as the title. So at this point, I would say do what feels right.

Re: More Cover advice

I'd be consistent and have DEMON and WITCH and whatever else or DEMONS and WITCHES etc.

Demon is book one and Witches is book two so I am not sure what you mean Doctor Sax

I think you must mean fonts.

Re: More Cover advice

I think the good Doctor means that if you pluralise one one-word title in a series, it matches nicely if the other one-word titles are pluralised.

Re: More Cover advice

I can see his point now, thanks for pointing it out Troo but book one has one demon whereas book two has nine witches.

Why can't life be simple

Re: More Cover advice

Demons don't have to be literal. Perhaps the psychic detective has to face down his own internal demons as well as the big fire-breathing chappie from Hell. Only when he conquers his fear of red Smarties will he be able to save the world, that sort of thing.

Re: More Cover advice

Larger version has been mailed to Gary, but here's a smaller one to demonstrate:

Of course, now I notice I put "DEMONS" instead of "DEMON"...

Re: More Cover advice

Fred Bartlett is the psychic detective but I love Troo's version.

What does everybody think?

Re: More Cover advice

Demon looks too big now - Demons was good size, just with s - but the font is perfect - good simple color too

Re: More Cover advice

Gary - do you like Fred Bartlett over Psychic Detective? You could always get way too complicated and put : A Fred Bartlett, Psychic Detective Novel
