| Wherever I Am, I'm There | Re: When candy goes wrong McDonalds had to withdraw a happy meal toy a few years ago for a very similar reason. Some might say that the people who see these phallic symbols that were never intended, are sick themselves, but I blame the marketing people who are so sure that they have such a great idea, that they fail to spot the bleeding obvious! BTW if you collect McDonalds toys that one is as rare as you can find. It has even been withdrawn from Ebay. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/30/46...abbf99.jpg?v=0 In case you were wondering, it is a Dragon sitting atop a rock pinacle. |

Reminds me of the Coke fiasco of a while back, where someone had purposefully put an...er... interesting image onto Coke labels, before it got noticed and recalled. I remember seeing a picture on the internet... |

| 'what to eat' fan | Re: When candy goes wrong I'm dead serious here: over here Candy chain store Jamin sells candy that was made purposefully (more phallic, even, than the ones shown in the link)in that shape, and other shapes as well. They're sold amongst the ususal candy(for kids),but there hasn't been much of a consumer outcry(except in the consumer TV program/magazine 'Kassa'). The complaint(if any) was basically that there should be a separate department('adult candy) all of you know i come from a pretty enlightened country. So what do i make of all this? Anything that trivializes sex is very very ver very very very very bad. am i oldfashioned ? No. Last edited by HardScienceFan; 17th June 2008 at 08:09 AM. |
