Stannis Burned Quick question: Stannis tells Davos that he has a vision in the flames of a king with a golden crown of flames (his) burning and consumed by flame. That he doesnt need anyone to tell him what that one means. So, he has seen his death and is trying to change it or what?? I mean that is as plain as I can see or interpret it.

Re: Stannis Burned Maybe, however he might have 'misinterperterted' (dont know the correct spelling) it, it might just mean that he is figuratively speaking being consumed by the red woman, becoming her puppet and thus being devoured by her, instead of an actual burning.

*spoilers* (if you can undrestand my rumbling) That will serve the royal blood part she needs, but than who is ahazor asi (however you spell it, you know the chap) reborn? Herself? Jon? Imagine it actually works... Dragons on the wall before Dany's homecoming. The dance of dragons replay... Can you possibly fit Jon in to TPTWP prophecy, and I talk as good fit as Dany? "Born between salt and smoke..." (the salt of lyana's tears and smoke of the burning tower maybe?) The other criteria are to do with the ritual of waking the dragons if I remember correctly…

Re: Stannis Burned Dany is the the "prince/princess who was promised. Aemon realized it. "Born amongst salt and smoke" Dany was born at Dragonstone. Melisandre has the right place but wrong person and wrong time. Aemon himself says is in FFC. She is Azhor Azhai reborn.

Re: Stannis Burned I agree with you that's what Aemon thought, and I tend to agree, but... We all assumed Dany will come along marry Jon, and all will be well. we all thought eddard will survive... I just wonder, the sample chapter suggests that the red woman has some un holy interest in Jon, she also has a keen interest in the blood of kings, and all facts point towards Jon beeing the bastard son of Targaryn. so: I. can Jon feet the prophecy in any way? II. can there be two azor ahi r born? III. can Dany be, after all the false one? IV. will the red woman switch dogs in the middle of the race - Staniss to Jon? V. can the royal blood of Staniss can be used in the raising of stone dragons by mel, to contend with Danys invasion? Just a thought, after all we have a malevolent deus ex machina here…
