New jackets!

I'm hoping I have managed to upload the jacket of Stravaganza: City of Secrets which will be published in paperback in the UK on 7th July. If this has worked, I'll also upload the jackets for the re-launch of the first three titles.

Re: New jackets!

That seems to have worked, so I'll try the other three - Masks, Stars and Flowers which will also be re-issued in paperback on 7th July.

Lovely jackets, Mary. Glad to see you mastered uploading them. You see, you didn't need my help at all really, did you? And there I was, poised by my computer, fingers at the ready ...

Re: New jackets!

Hello, Mary. Will these be making the trip to Amazon US? I was thinking of buying them for my kids, but now that I see the new covers I may hold out a bit longer.

Unfortunately I buy most of my english language books from Amazon US because I currently live in Germany, and while UK is closer, shipping is much higher. (my kingdom for a bookstore to browse in)

It's a bit different for the US, Bookstop, where City of Secrets is being published in hardback instead of straight into paperback as in the UK. It has the same jacket. The previous three titles will be re-jacketed in the same way, as the earlier paperback editions sell out.

Of course Stravaganza is published in Germany, by Arena, but if you want the books in English, then I suppose it has to be Amazon. Are the shipping costs just as high if you order from Bloomsbury in the UK?

Good luck!

Mary

I don't know what I did wrong the previous time I tried to upload a jacket. It was The Falconer's Knot paperback, so I'll have another go at that. Yes, it's always better to master a skill oneself than to have someone else do it for you but it was good to know you were there and ready to help!

Re: New jackets!

@Bookstop: Why don't you order via amazon.DE? Then you have no shipping-costs at all! And they offer all of Mary's books with UK and US cover.

Oh, pook! Checked Bloomsbury, checked amazon.de, but I can still them about 1/2 the price if I stick with ol US amazon. I'll just order the old covers, although, I do like the new covers, Mary.

The new covers are fantastic, Mary!

While the existing ones are eye-catching and colourful, they are likely to restrict the age range of readers, where as the new ones will appeal to anyone.

Congratulations!

Re: New jackets!

Cool covers, Mary! Congratulations!

Bookstop, have you tried this online store: The Book Depository - Cheap books with free delivery worldwide

Based in the UK, free delivery worldwide, reasonable price. I bought a few books and was quite happy with the delivery speed. The site can be a bit slow from time to time.

Re: New jackets!

Fortunately, the Mondadori site also sells English books in all editions available so I'll buy "City of Secrets" in English with the new cover

Re: New jackets!

Hey Mary

I do heart the new jackets I loved the marbled colour of the old ones, as you always feel like you're holding Lucien's own book when you read it But I LOVE the pictures of the Stravagante on the new ones! For City of Masks though, i've seen two versions of the cover. On one, there is a picture of a women about to be stabbed. Is this from the scene where Silvia is attacked by Guido?

Yes, that is SUPPOSED to be the scene but Larry Rostant, the artist has not read the book so has done a rather impressionistic version! It is the final version.

Glad you like the covers in principle.
